“I’m sure that we could have reached an agreement, but somehow / somewhere parties refused to understand each other and the value that an agreement would have delivered”.
Know this feeling? Wouldn’t it be great if both parties would understand from each other where the commonality was and where the real pain points? So many great opportunities, both on the buying and selling side of the business trip over for no reason other than incompetence of the ones at the table. And you cannot blame those sitting at the table either. The are pre-conditioned and are too close to the detail to allow them to take a healthy distance and look at the potential deal at its merit.
This is where our offering comes in. Bound by strict confidentiality we have discussions with the separate parties to see where parties should be able to find common ground and where the main issues are. Although the word “fair” is highly questionable in negotiations, we can push back on positions that do not add value to the questioning party but do block a potential agreement.
Through a form of mediation, we try to have the negotiators (or negotiation team) and the final key decision makers to overcome their non-added value blocks and move forward to see if we can come to a successful arrangement.
We will not do your negotiation; we will try to help to unblock the situation. And if we see there is no chance of success, we will tell both parties and stop the negotiation mediation immediately. Better no deal than wasting each other time. However, experience learns that most parties are better off with an agreement than with a deadlock.
What is the target of this service?
People negotiate with emotion, that gives them the drive and their pride, however it hinders them to get to the best outcome. That’s why we exist! Contact us.
